Amy Macdonald s’intéresse très tôt à la musique. Elle achète son premier album à l’âge de 12 ans, The Man Who du groupe écossais Travis. Durant son adolescence, elle écrit ses premières chansons accompagnée d’une guitare empruntée à son père. Elle écrit notamment un texte sur le fanatisme de sa soeur envers Ewan McGregor. Elle commence à faire de la scène à 13 ans, lorsqu’un groupe de musiciens vient dans son collège pour travailler avec les élèves, et donner des concerts à Glasgow.

Elle quitte l’école à l’âge de 16 ans, pour se consacrer à la musique. C’est ainsi qu’au lendemain d’un show de Pete Doherty, elle prend sa guitare et écrit sa chanson This Is the Life, qui devient son premier grand succès.

Elle a aussi écrit trois chansons de grand succès: Mr Rock & Roll, L.A. et Run. Entre le mois de mai 2007 et le mois d’août 2008 elle a été en tournée en Angleterre et dans d’autres pays de l’Europe du Nord.

Ligue 1 : La Mandandamania démarre

La saison 2008/2009 sera l’année Mandanda, avec une place de numéro 1 en Equipe de France et ses prouesses actuelles avec l’Olympique de Marseille, la Mandandamania démarre.

Un surnom lui a été attribué qui a donné lieu à une chanson : Il Fenomeno.

La Russie remporte l’Eurovision

Le chanteur pop Dima Bilan a donné à la Russie sa première victoire à l’Eurovision lors de sa 53e édition samedi à Belgrade, avec sa chanson « Believe », devançant l’Ukraine et la Grèce.

Le Français Sébastien Tellier dont la décision de chanter en anglais a provoqué une vive polémique, a partagé la 18e place avec la Suède.

YouTube a dévoilé la liste des gagnants pour la deuxième édition de ses YouTube Video Awards, ils ont plébiscité une douzaine de vidéos parmi les meilleures diffusées en 2007 :

Le prix de la meilleure chanson a été attribué à Tay Zonday, un jeune homme de 25 ans possédant une voix de baryton pour son interprétation de « Chocolate Rain ».

La meilleure vidéo instructive, visionnée près de 3,6 millions de fois, a été décernée à Dan Brown, un jeune lycéen de 17 ans, qui présentait comment résoudre le casse-tête du Rubik Cube.

Le prix du meilleur créatif est revenu à Guillaume Reymond pour « Human Tetris », un remake du jeu vidéo Tetris où les pixels ont été remplacés par des hommes.
