Avec son premier single, «TiK ToK», classé directement numéro un aux Etats-Unis, Ke$ha vient de détrôner Jay-Z et Alicia Keys. Devenant du jour au lendemain la digne héritière de Lady Gaga, la star de 22 ans laisse aussi planer le doute sur son orientation sexuelle. «Je ne pourrais pas dire si je suis homo ou hétéro. J’aime les gens, c’est tout. Je déteste avoir une étiquette, de toute façon», a confié la célibataire au magazine «Out».
Une déclaration logique, quand on sait que Kesha – qui vient de sortir son premier album, «Animal» – a joué dans le clip «I Kissed a Girl» de Katy Perry. «Je n’aurais jamais pensé que cette chanson puisse connaître un tel succès», dit l’ex-serveuse.
Voulant réussir dans la musique, Ke$ha a fait preuve d’audace. «Je rêvais que Prince produise mon album. Je suis donc allée chez lui. La porte de sa maison n’était pas fermée. Je suis entrée et j’ai vu Prince jouant de la guitare. C’était incroyable. J’ai pu l’observer pendant 45 minutes avant qu’on me vire de chez lui!»
